Solar Eclipse 101

Ever wonder why they say ‘never look directly at the sun during a solar eclipse? And ‘because if you do for even 1 second you’ll go blind and your face will melt?’

Nah- it’s probably because you’ll see something exactly like this–>

I’ll admit it- up until 10/14/23 I thought you could see at least an outline of the moon. Nope-nope-nope. So question begs-   why warn people when the sun’s no less brighter to the naked eye than any other day? I mean, do people actually ignore the pain & keep staring at it, expecting ‘any second now’ to see this?

🤣yah right- ring of fire my 🍑

You’re NOT going to see anything remotely resembling anything ‘blocking’ the sun.

Because THIS is exactly what the sun looks like during the height of a ‘total solar eclipse. Sure, you still get that eerie twilight effect but where’s the dam moon causing it?
